Patrick "Doc" Allen is a former All Pro Houston Oiler.
Along with Steve Brown, he formed one of the longest running cornerback combinations
in the NFL House of Pain era.
For four consecutive years, from the 1986 through the 1989
season, he led the team in pass defense and in 1987 was named "Professional Athlete
of the Year" by Special Olympics.
He still finds time to coach young children, sharing the benefit
of his knowledge and experience with the community, and for this and other acts of
kindness he was awarded the "Positive Influential African American Male" award
in 1996.
